There are 2 simple words that you can use which will add a whole new level of value to your personal and business life. They are magic words and there is a good chance you already know them. Are you ready?

“Thank you”

It’s that simple… Make a point of saying thank you; it’s not just polite it shows that you value the other side of the relationship. There are a number of different ways you can express thanks but by physically saying these words to people whose friendship or business matters, really shows them you mean it.

Receiving an automated email or card on your birthday is one thing but it’s not very personal. Think about how you currently say thank you and think about the last time someone said thank you to you. I’m not trying to teach you how to suck eggs, but sometimes simple things like this get lost amongst the deadlines and delivery schedules. It’s also easy to write this off as simply another exercise in “touchy feely” management practice. It’s not I promise.
